Community Retreats
Sacred Heart Jesuit Retreat House welcomes groups seeking time set apart for prayer, reflection, and shared spiritual renewal. Whether you come as a parish, school, ministry, family, or faith community, the retreat house offers a setting shaped by quiet, hospitality, and care — supporting both individual prayer and communal life.
Retreats Led by Jesuits
Groups of 10–50 people are welcome to join Sacred Heart for a preached weekend retreat led by Jesuits. These retreats are rooted in the Ignatian tradition and typically include guided reflections, time for silence and personal prayer, Mass, opportunities for confession, and shared meals.
Jesuits are available to assist with:
Retreat reflections and conferences
Celebration of Mass
Confession and Eucharistic Adoration
Prayerful accompaniment throughout the weekend
Retreats Led by Your Own Leaders
Groups may also bring their own retreat leaders and set a schedule that fits their needs. Sacred Heart provides the space, meals, and atmosphere of prayer, allowing your community to focus fully on the retreat experience.
This option is well suited for:
Parish councils or ministries
School faculty or staff retreats
Family or small faith communities
Groups seeking flexibility and quiet
Group Size &
Facility Use
Groups of 10–50 retreatants are accommodated regularly.
Groups of 40 or more may be eligible for discounted rates and, subject to availability, the opportunity to reserve the retreat house exclusively for their group.
Because availability is limited, groups are encouraged to request preferred dates 2–6 months in advance.
Meals, Lodging, and Setting
Community retreatants stay in simple, comfortable private rooms and share meals prepared with care. The grounds, chapel, and common spaces offer ample room for quiet prayer as well as time together. Everything is designed to support a retreat experience that is peaceful, attentive, and unhurried.
Planning Your Group Retreat
Each community retreat is different. Our staff is glad to help you think through timing, group size, leadership needs, and available support so that your retreat reflects the needs of your group.
