This six-day retreat is an adaptation of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, a time apart for God in which retreatants are helped to perceive more clearly what God is saying to them in their lives. 

In order to enter into a face-to-face encounter with God, retreatants are introduced to different Bible stories and to a method of praying that helps them to listen to God’s voice speaking through Scripture – in this way, Scripture begins to shed light on what is happening in their lives. The group meets for talks twice a day; retreatants have time for personal prayer and meet with a “guide” each day, who helps them discern how God is speaking to him or her personally during the week. Some instruction in prayer, the spiritual life and discernment are also provided. 

Over the course of the week, people walk a journey of conversion and deeper friendship with God. They find themselves able to encounter Him with fewer distractions, identify in what they need to convert to Him more deeply, and learn the better to discern what He is saying to each of them at this moment in their lives. 

No experience is required; you don’t have to be a Bible scholar or prayer warrior to do this! We will walk the steps with you, don’t be afraid!
